Justice for Birthday Present

We couldn’t be happier for Nassau County Police Officer Kenneth Baribault as today he celebrates another birthday. Baribault, now 32, met in a traffic accident, which almost cost him his life, at the age of 30 while on duty on the Long Island Expressway (LIE) on the 18th of May in 2008.

The accident is alledged to have been caused by Rahiem Griffin who was said to be driving a Silver Mercedes Benz CLK320 which ran into the rear of Officer Baribault’s Chevrolet Impala patrol cruiser after he pulled over Marcin Bykuc in a black Kia SUV.

So what would make the perfect birthday gift? The fact that his alledged attacker would receive justice and so he did as on July 22, 2009, Griffin was sentenced to seven (7) years in prison after being convicted in June 2009.

The trial began on Monday, June 1, 2009 and in the blink of an eye, Griffin was convicted on Monday, June 15, 2009 after the jury deliberated for two (2) days.

Will Nassau County Medical Center send Baribault a card? Well, if they do, it would might be sent for January the 12th and not the 21st due to due to the numbers be transposed.
